Thursdays | Mar 14 – Apr 18 | 6 – 9 pm | $450 + gem Register now!
This intermediate level class focuses on fabrication skills in sterling silver. We will construct an individual project that incorporates multiple soldering seams, different textures, decorative enhancements, and optional use of a gemstone.
Intro to Silver or equivalent prior course experience required.
We will explore a variety of techniques to create more three dimensional work using shape and texture, from high polish to hammered, oxidised finishes to highlight our design. We will also learn about layering different pieces together and the different types of soldering applications used.
Students should bring their hand tools, and may also bring their own stones (we will discuss specs in first class) or purchase a gem from the tutor’s collection. Silver class materials are provided.
