In this 4-hour intensive students will learn how to make hoop earrings in a few different styles. You also have the option to work on Studs, or both!
Working in sterling silver, you will experiment with different shapes for hoop earrings and gain valuable expertise using the torch to solder posts and other components to their work. Students are encouraged to use their creativity by incorporating decorative components such as adding copper highlights, dangling chains, or gemstone beads for a stylish flash of color.
In this class you will learn a few different earring making techniques while practicing valuable silversmithing skills such as cutting, filing, shaping and soldering. You will experiment with fabricating different shapes for a pair of dangling earrings or hoops. You will learn how to make your own ear wires and how to solder posts to your designs, and you will have the opportunity to incorporate gemstone beads or chain into your work as well. This is a great class for beginners or more experienced students who are looking to refresh their skills. Tools and materials are included in the course fee.
