Featuring nearly 130 pieces of jewelry from around the globe, the exhibition spans a wide berth of jewelry practices and movements, from the studio jewelry movement of the 1950’s and 60’s to intricate silver neckpieces and cuffs from India along with more contemporary works from emerging, mid-career, and established jewelry artists. The exhibition also explores a range of jewelry making techniques, highlighting practices such as computer aided design and digital fabrication techniques as well as the use of unconventional materials to further the reach of jewelry beyond its traditional decorative function.
